We are hiring a permanent, full-time Senior Scientist with graduate training and industrial business development experience

Enviromin seeks a senior-level scientist with business development experience who shares our passion for successful innovation in mine waste stabilization and the treatment of mine-affected water. We are a dynamic, interdisciplinary team of consulting scientists who specialize in the application of biogeochemistry and biotechnology to effective waste and water management strategies throughout the mine life cycle (www.enviromininc.com). Enviromin’s state of the art laboratory is located in vibrant and beautiful Bozeman Montana, a growing community offering excellent year-round recreational opportunities.

Position Description

The successful applicant for the role of Senior Scientist will support Enviromin projects in collaboration with the senior technical team, by managing and further developing the superior quality of work in mining biogeochemistry, consistent with Enviromin’s standard for excellence. Duties will include:

♦   Create timely and high-quality products (e.g., data, technical documents, presentations);

♦   Manage scope, budget, and schedule for various projects that address environmental concerns in mining and other impacted industrial settings;

♦   Pursue business development targets and lead on proposal preparation;

♦   Manage existing and new client relationships consistent with Enviromin’s standards; 

♦   Work collaboratively with Enviromin’s diverse group of consulting scientists;

♦   Exhibit excellent client-communication skills;

♦   Participate in professional conferences and preparation of publications.

Requirements

Applicant must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, a graduate degree, and a successful track record in business development in the mining industry and/or environmental consulting. The ideal candidate will have expertise in one of the following disciplines: microbiology, molecular bioscience, biogeochemistry, environmental chemistry, or hydrology. Experience with industrial environmental geochemistry and testing, geochemical modeling, laboratory-scale reactors, and field work in industrial settings is a plus. Applicants should be authorized to work in the United States.
